SC Straw Poll: Fred in First, Ron Paul Second
July 30, 2007Yesterday, the Georgetown County, SC GOP held their first ever straw poll. There were 223 votes cast. Fred Thompson came in first, Ron Paul in second, followed by Mitt Romney, Duncan Hunter, Rudy Giuliani, and John McCain (In that order).
GINGRICH: Hillary/Obama will Be Running Mates
July 29, 2007Newt Gingrich said on Fox News Sunday today that Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama will be running mates on the Democratic ticket. He also considers Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney, and Fred Thompson to be “forbidible” challengers to a Hillary/Obama ticket.
I have been speculating for months that there is already a deal in place between the Clinton/Barack camps to run together. I also believe Bill Richardson is Hillary’s back-up running mate should she sour on Obama.
Bob Novak: Grassroots Enthusiasm is High For Ron Paul

“Republican leaders report that the most enthusiasm among grassroots activists is for (Newt) Gingrich and libertarian Rep. Ron Paul. “
Attorney Beats The IRS
July 28, 2007Shreveport, LA Attorney, Tom Cryer, was found not guilty by a jury of his peers of all charges brought against him by the Internal Revenue Service in Federal Court. His sole defense: Show me the law that requires me (and the average American) to pay tax on income derived from labor. The government could not do this to the jury’s satisfaction and they found Mr. Cryer not guilty.
